Starting with dA CSSBack when CSS was allowed for journals for the first time there had been only a few deviants like `ClaireJones, `Lilyas or =kuschelirmel-stock who provided free skins for everyone. Through the time more and more people enjoyed working on CSS skins and we also got the chance to skin our galleries.
These days, and thanks to the great resources about journal and gallery CSS that have been created, it is possible for nearly everyone to code their own skins and/or to share them with others. Still there are many people who struggle with some basic things, which is why we want to focus on some of them here.

On deviantART you can only use HTML and CSS on your journals, group blogs, your custom gallery folders, as well as your groups' galleries.
When you customize your profile widgets you can't add CSS or HTML like you can for journals/galleries. All you can do is using existing dA code that can be re-us

What is #projecteducate?
#projecteducate is an education project here on deviantART, conceived back in mid-late 2007 by `MistressWit. She made the first plans towards the beginning of the group. However, life got very busy for her - so she couldn't visit deviantART very often. Six months later, `shell4art followed her plans and officially launched #projecteducate! [1] Today, #projecteducate is one of deviantART's official projects. It is currently being overseen by the wonderful ^Kaz-D. :)

^Aeirmid is well known within our community for running fun and out of the box Projects and Contests. Jade heads up #Arts-and-Health, ran the #Halloween-HQ contest this past Halloween, did a month long #projecteducate on Photomanipulation, and has ran several other successful contests and projects just within the past year. As such I felt she was the perfect person to interview in this article.

In recent years the question regarding Daily Deviations and Descriptions has been brought up many times. Should DDs include a little description about why they were chosen? Should they be blank so as to let people find out their own reasons for enjoying the featured pieces...? Today we will take a look at the different perspectives on this subject! Descriptions or write-ups often include the reasons why said Daily Deviation was chosen, highlighting details that might go unnoticed or expressing the suggester and/or the CVs feelings towards the piece in question. Including a descripion or not is up to each individual CV. Ones prefer writing something for it, others don't. In the end it's just a matter of preference!

Getting Down with the Lingo
DDs
This is the common term for Daily Deviations. The Daily Deviation is a daily feature chosen from the galleries here on deviantART. A small assortment of submissions are chosen each day by a select group of staff/volunteer members who wish to showcase an image which they found impressive or otherwise interesting enough to deserve being brought to the attention of the community-at-large. PE: Know what your CVs can DDDuring my term as a Community Volunteer who accepts Daily Deviation suggestions it has become very clear that some people simply aren't sure who to suggest a given piece to for a DD.  While the majority of suggesters have a pretty good grasp on which CVs to send the suggestion to, there are enough suggestions being received which would be better sent to a different CV to warrant some education on the subject.

Some people believe that anyone with an ^ symbol in front of their username can give out DDs and often there is no knowledge that we as CVs look over specific galleries which are the galleries we are allowed to select DDs from.
When looking over :faq18: you will notice the different galleries followed by one or more CVs who watch over those specific galleries.  To be very simplistic, if the piece you wish to suggest is in the Anthro gallery you'd then suggest it to ^KovoWolf who watches ov

Hey Infinite~
((Long time no"speak", but I'm back))
Well, I have one group suggestion: :iconrising-artists:, it's a special lil' group (Okay,it's not that small XD) that has a lot of things to offer, like critiques on your work if you want it, when you want it, "Friday Favorites" (Features every Friday following a theme), and more~
I think it can go to Community or Exposure... Not sure what a wonderful group like this goes under...

I like to look for a new group to join if I start branch off into a certain creative thing. For instance, I noticed, because my daughter likes rainbows, that I was making lots of rainbow stuff, and decided to join some rainbow-themed groups.
